I’m bummed out that I don’t have a high res file of this because I gave the original away. Not sure of the year (2001 or 2002 sounds about right). 

It was during that phase of the annoying American realization that our way of living comes with consequences. I remember being disgusted with people when they would get that look in their eye like they were about to say something intelligent and instead asked plaintively “why do they hate us so much?”

Tom Motley taught me that the ink sketch is as important as the initial sketch or idea. I had been inking for years and never heard this before. It changed my inking almost immediately.
